GRADE YOUR ADWORDS PERFORMANCE WITH WORDSTREAM TOOL

August 9, 2011 0

An AdWords Performance Grader has been released by WordStream which has been specifically designed for campaigns of Google AdWords. WordStream is based in Boston and is a provider of search marketing softwares, who has planned to release this grader for free. This tool has been released at the right time when AdWords campaigns are being evaluated on a continuous basis by the marketers. This tool has goals set at identifying important areas which look at how one’s campaign can be improved. The basis would still be one’s business criteria.

WordStream Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Larry Kim said that the company has worked with a number of SMEs on prospects from building keywords which would be appropriate as per their campaigns for AdWords. He said that they know many marketers have not been able to use these campaigns to the fullest. The new free tool is basically to help the advertisers know the best practices for their ad campaign and how can they improve upon them. Larry claimed that this would improve their overall performance and even save valuable money flow out of their pockets. This tool would be highly beneficial for the medium and small-sized businesses.

Chairman of the PPC Summits and founder of the Internet Marketing Institute, Mary O’Brien gave a detailed explanation as to how and why most of these campaigns are neither able to give the dedicated time to their campaigns, nor have the personnels who can do proper justice to manage the campaign effectively. She continued saying that this tool would reduce the possibility of uncertainty and stress to a great extent. Benchmarking is even a function this grader gives to the marketers which would help them in benchmarking their own campaigns against the competitors who are working their ad campaign on a similar budget.

Few of the listed features of this tool that would be helpful for marketers to drive their advertising campaign to a higher level are PPC best practices, Landing page optimization, Text ad optimization, Long-tail keyword optimization, Impression share for ads, Click-through rates on ads, Quality Score for text ads and the keywords targeted and Effective use of negative keywords to control spend. This tool basically helps marketers know how their campaign is faring, a few comparisions with competitors in the same range, suggestion to improve, addition of keywords or excluding them, adjustments for the text in the ads, along with their AdWords account.

The campaign is designed in such a manner that marketers using AdWords will benefit majorly from the tool. For example, when a search is made for car insurance on Google, the “automated expertise” (as termed by Larry Kim) moves towards the AdWords platform basically, rather than a consultant who might be charging $1000 approx. and then moves off track.

One can view this infographic which was out recently and shows the depiction explained by WordStream detailing the needs for one using the Internet platform. WordStearm looks forward to add many more companies to their user list in the current year.

Paid search advertising has been quite famous of late and Google is a hub for such advertising practices, but many such marketers still do not get the worth of the investment they make in such advertising practices.
