Google Declares Free Phone Support For AdWords Customers In US And Canada

Mountain View, California — For years Google has perfectly made it easy for advertisers to fill-up its popular AdWords treasure chest with money, but, if you ever face a problem with your AdWords account, then you know what a glorious pain there is for advertisers to get answers to their questions. Finally, the search engine giant Google has announced that it is adding free telephone support for AdWords members in U.S. and Canada, in addition to the online and email support already available.

 

While email and online support is becoming more prevalent for customer service responses, but now onwards AdWords customers will no longer be limited to receiving support via email and various online resources; now they can call a toll-free number in U.S. And Canada and speak to a live AdWords specialist.

A post on the Official Google Blog announced the option this morning, and explained, “We are adding phone support for a simple reason: you asked for it! You told us that while you appreciate online resources like our AdWords Help Center, you also want the option to get live, expert support when you need it.”

Furthermore, because of the enormous demand from users, Google has assembled a team of AdWords specialists on call between Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm Eastern Time for AdWords advertisers who need assistance with a question or problem. The search giant plans to add phone support out to advertisers in other countries in the coming months.

So, from now onwards if you ever need help, it is just a phone call away. 1-866-2Google; The number’s are operational right now; callers are greeted with the words, “Thank you for calling Google AdWords.” Also, make sure that you have your customer ID ready.

The move makes a lot of sense from a customer service standpoint. A great news for new users, more elderly users or less tech-savvy users and all those polite executives who report difficulties to upper management, only to get the frustrating response. A quick glance at the search results for “AdWords no phone support” (above image) hints that lots of users resented Google’s decision not to speak to them about various issues, “can’t you just call Google and get them to sort it out?”
