Twitter news is here, but it is neither an announcement, nor an update. Interestingly, the micro-blogging site has not pushing in any serious detailing too. But a special thought is trending on Twitter, all over the world. The thought relates to Twitter getting nostalgic about a user’s ’10 years ago’ position, the thoughts and remembrance. 2001, the year definitely had a lot many things to remember, out of which a number of facts are actually on the list, posted by the tweeples.
WebProNews reporter termed the trending as, ‘Who doesn’t love a good trip down memory lane?’. That actually sounds interesting as the micro-blogging giant has hooked many users to go back to their past and dig out facts, which they want others to know.
Some of these facts are actually filled of thoughts, while some of the users have just pushed it in as to encourage the trending.
The interesting lot of the facts note a few, which relate to a user’s life, their sorrows, happiness, living style, attitude and a number of attributes. But some related to what the world was ten years ago. The latter lot related to one’s country’s government, the tech biggies and many other inspirations.
Interestingly, one of the most popular and most retweeted tweet was:
#10YearsAgo we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope, and Johnny Cash. Now we have no jobs, no hope, and no cash.
Thats new and unique. Probably it might have sparked the trending too!
In any case, people love reviving memories, and this seems to be an extension to the way one would want to think of what happened in the past, and what not.
The tweets mostly show that the people were a lot happier ten years ago. Rarely anyone tweeted that not he/she is a lot more happier, than what he/she was ten years ago.
The second most interesting set of tweets, had people remembering good times or the “where were you when” conversations about major historical events.
With this, Twitter just added to the lazy festive mood of the people. Tweeples would love indulging in this and would want to be in these recently revived memories for some time.
Every minute, every second, there are a number of tweets being added to the long list, adding to the activeness on Twitter.
This would definitely rise the normal day activeness count for Twitter, along with the time spent by the users on Twitter. Time spent would even include the time utilized/wasted on hanging around the link and reading the tweets or rather reading memories of other users from all over the world.
