Almost a year back Twitter had come up with its redesigned Twitter which was popularized as the ‘New Twitter’. But since the launch of this new Twitter, the old Twitter had even been working and there its existence was still very much intact. The problem currently is that the new Twitter is no more new and its been almost 11 months, since the redesign but it had not yet closed down the old design. But the announcement was finally made and now Twitter is waving off it’s old design.
The problem was that many a users got a jerk when their old gold Twitter design was shifted out and the new one was placed in. now like every new Twitter user, they are even learning how to use Twitter. The difference however is that they have basic knowledge of it which will surely help them start tweeting in their normal way comparatively in a shorter span of time.
Twitter had even made an announcement on Twitter a week ago to let its users know that the upgrade would wipe off old Twitter design if the users have not manually upgraded to the new redesign.
One can view the video below and have a look at how the new Twitter looks like if they have not tweeted anything yet via the new Twitter.

Talking about the mobile users of Twitter, there are many users who were using the old design, but as for the count the new design users would be much more than the old ones. But this new design of Twitter is by far a much better one and has many many more features which would keep the users busy. The new design has a lot to offer and the now-shifted users would even most probably love this new design. In this new design, one can view embedded media and more parts of conversations. Even the recent concept of Twitter search has been incorporated in the new design. It is much more usable now.
The redesign decision of Twitter was an applaud-able one because unlike many other social networking sites, Twitter did allow its users to stay connected with the old design active for those users who loved the old version. 11 months is a good time period wherein one could take their own sweet time to move from the old design to the new one. It is rarely seen happening with a social networking site which has been really popular and was on the incline towards success.
Unlike Twitter, Facebook for example jerked a quicky shift from the old version to the new one. There was no time for most of the users to react as they would have preferred too. This was one of the reasons because of which the new Facebook chat was criticized as the new chat didn’t attract many a users to use it. Another example here would be that of Orkut. Orkut even switched on its new design once a user logged in. However there was an option for a user to move back to the older design. These acts by the major sites have only left their users infuriating. The rage never had a long life but it did frustrate many users and the complaint box was registered which have been hard to cope with. Twitter on the other hand kept in mind the ease way to let users shift over which is highly appreciable.
