Tumblr, a microblogging platform has recorded a blog count of almost 28 million. It is even growing at a rapid pace which would reach 10 billion posts in totality. Pingdom noted that a year ago, Tumblr had only 7 million blogs which has grown explosively. Pingdom even had updated stats for the blogging/social media service which has gained popularity extensively. Tumblr is a platform which lets users to post links and quotes along with text, images videos and audio to their tumblelog, a short-form blog.
It is even a great marketing tool for the marketers which relates to one’s social media and content efforts. Talking about the posts made, the platform recoded 37 million posts today. For its regular stats which were recorded by Pingdom, one can note them as follows:

Pingdom even noted that at the said pace, it is expected that the number of posts on Tumblr would cross 20 billion in nine months. It was even noted that it can be a worry for Tumblr to get these new posts into their system, but a bigger challenge would be to serve all the content to readers. Again handling the interactions which are created by these posts could be a headache.

Tumblr however is accompanied by Reddit, a social news website which even claims that its growth has been effective. One of the blog posts of Reddit read that the company has tripled its size merely in 15 months. The blog post noted that since May, last year, the company has grown explosively from 7 million to 21.5 million in count of its monthly unique visitors. They even notified that the page views have increased at a rate of 4x, which calls its count to a notable 1.6 billion pages served per month.
Reddit was quick to note that the growth has been hard worked on, but there are further opportunities, new challenges and new diversity which would come along with the growth. For the count, the company stated that there are more than 6,500 subreddits and the subscriber list even is more than 100. it was even blogged that as they are welcoming the new members in their community, the company would not want to miss out on the opportunity to clarify the working of reddit and what are the defined roles of admins and moderators, which they have to look after in the times to come. Talking about reddit’s force, it has the capability of driving some serious traffic to their website if one has the right content on the offering.
