Google’s Panda update has been rolled out all over the world, being just restricted to its language count which has been just three for now. There were a few new stats which revealed the winner and loser websites in Austria, France and Germany. U.S. saw the first release of Panda which came out in February this year. It however didn’t reveal many a things while the monthly manual updates were being hit. Panda next leaped in the UK territory in April. Now with these three new destinations, it is more an international update for Panda.
Google detailed that the Panda algorithm is functioning for search in almost every language, but there were expectations for Korean, Japanese and Chinese languages where testing for improvements were in process. ETA for these exceptions were not announced, which can still be out by the end of this year.
Algorithmic changes on a large scale have had a turnaround effect at times, but this time its just worked on downgrading the usual points which are people-finding search engines, scrapers, aggregators, article directories and most importantly content farms. It can be assumed that the impact would not really be as huge as it has been in the UK and U.S. U.S. had made an impact which was around 12%, but in these cases it might be anywhere around 6 to 9 %. Still, Panda cannot be underestimated. Searchmetrics’ compilation of the winners and losers for Austrian, French and German sites show that the sites would continue to be hit by Panda majorly.

Looks like Facebook is having a terrible time in Germany to maintain its position. Of late, Facebook like button was opposed by German ULD. In this case. Facebook Trends lost a visibility share by 97.49%. Other two in the top loser list were profischnell.com, which lost visibility by 94.49% and gutscheinwurst.de, lost on 94.02% visibility.
German winners seems to have had a good time because of Panda. The biggest gainers here were webauto.de, who recorded a visibility rise by 132.77% as per searchmetrics. The second on the list was songtexte.com, who even had a rise by 83.70% in its visibility. Not so surprisingly, Android saw a visibility hike of 42.36% who was third on the list.
France list had a completely different story to tell. Here the losers were severely hit as most of the sites on the list had a visibility loss of more than 80%. the top loser was techno-science.net, who lost 96.63% in its visibility. Next was shoocare.fr, who lost visibility share of 86.55%. third in the top loser list was dicodunet.com whose visibility loss was for 88.39%.
The winner list here had bestofconcours.com on the top who gained 105.82%, all thanks to Panda. 96.28% gain was for informer.com, while freenews.fr had gained 84.90%. The winners here were quite surprisingly for the count. The results here on an overall aspect was better for the winners as compared to Germany.
Austria saw the worst hit and the best on the list as compared to the other two destinations. The losers here had a tough competition to enter the top three loser list as many had lost visibility of more than 90%. Again for the winners, there were many who gained more than 80% visibility, with two striking more than 100% for the percentile.
The stats might have been worked on really hard, but one can notice that it still lacks adding in a few major sites such as Facebook and YouTube were no where in any list. This might just be shocking as even Twitter was there on the list, at least in Austria.
