September 8, 2011 0

New York — Be it feline photos or nature, the contemporary smartphone cameras has long way to go to compete with a full-fledged camera. In a unique enhancement for the amateur photographers, Acquire for Photoshop is a clever utility app unveiled by the developers Flying Car that lets users take images with an iPhone camera and immediately upload the shots to Adobe Photoshop CS5 or later. Photos will be instantly transmitted to Photoshop enabling the user to utilize all of the program’s powerful editing features.

Interestingly, there are several iPhone apps that let you edit or otherwise affect an image in the phone… but these edits are usually permanent, and in doing so the original image is lost. But, Acquire for Photoshop, empowers users to quickly send their photos to the Adobe Photoshop CS5 software in their personal computers instantly over the air.

So, if you enjoy owning a Photoshop application, you know that all the tools and effects you will ever need are right there at your fingertips, and you want an original, pristine image as a source. That’s where Acquire comes in! Even your already clicked photos can immediately be pushed to the Adobe Photoshop CS5 directly.

The app is very simple to use. Acquire for Photoshop greatly exploits the integrated remote server that is found in CS5, so make sure you have the right version before you purchase the app.

The new ‘Acquire for Photoshop’ app employs iOS devices’ data connection to send the photos from the iPhone directly to your desktop based software, Photoshop CS5 so you have more freedom in working with your original image.

The app uses Adobe Remote Connect functionality feature introduced with Photoshop CS 5. Once you activated the remote server in your Photoshop CS5 software, open your iOS device, turn on the Wi-Fi, connect to the remote server, take a picture or choose one from your library, and send to Photoshop. There are no cables, cords or drag and drop required.

Use Adobe apps like Nav, Color Lava and Eazel to enable the remote connection settings for the companion app with Photoshop.

While enjoying the quick shot on your iOS device, whether you are a professional photographer who promptly wants to evaluate the quality of an iPhone photo, an artist who needs a quick image for reference, a manager who needs to add a digital signature to a receipt for email, or a developer who needs to instantly ingest screen shots from your iOS device, you must Acquire is the perfect tool for you.

Acquire for Photoshop is available in the Apple App Store for $1.99 and works with Photoshop CS5 and any iOS device that has a camera and the ones running iOS 4.0 or higher.
