However, things might not go well, when he is back to the States, but this is confirmed that Facebook would continue its efforts to keep itself at the supreme position it has earned. For the same, the social networking giant has announced that it would be hosting two mobile Hack events in the next month. So, for an app developer it is an important article to make note off. These two events would be hosted in New York and Boston respectively and would focus on building social apps. Moreover, minimal cash outflow for the attendees, will make many want to attend it.
It seems like the original Mobile Hack event held in Palo Alto two months back, was a biggie success and team Facebook wants to extend the link by having two more of the same. These informative sessions would be aimed at the developers.
The date and the timings of the events are as follows:
-
First event to be held in New York on January 18, 2012 (from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM EST)
-
Second event to be held in Boston on January 20, 2012 (from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM EST)
The menu on the offering will have detailed sessions about building social mobile apps, wherein Facebook will cover iOS, Android, and mobile web (HTML5) app development in both the events.
For the admission fees, there is a slight change. The first Mobile Hack event was free for everyone, but these two are not. The students still have an option to attend the Boston event for free, the general attendees need to note that they will have to shell out an economical fee, which is $25.
What can one expect from the event? It was noted that the event would have industry experts who have already built social mobile apps and would thus share their best practices. The practices would not be restricted to the Facebook Platform team, they will even show how to make one’s apps more social and how to leverage social discovery.
Once the event is over, the best apps would be selected by a panel of experts and prizes will be awarded. One does not have to create from scratch at the event.
These hackathons might just make one think that Facebook is yet again inching closer to its future project of coming up with a Facebook mobile platform, to make things swifter and expand the possible potentials to the best.
