MarketingSherpa has published a new special report: Affiliate Marketing 2007 — Commission Debate & Trademark Concerns.

The report, based on data from 329 merchants and 296 affiliates, features new information on keyword bidding policies, blogs and the challenges facing the industry.

Among the sixteen data charts are interesting figures on the percentage of merchant revenue coming from affiliates (~10% on average), penetration of Web 2.0 with affiliates (blogs and video have a big impact), and annual gross revenues for affiliates (veterans averaging $54,975).
