Microsoft has planned to fight out in the competitive Operating System world with the heavy weights who have a strong hold already and are looking to better their stand. The biggies in the current market for mobile handsets are Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS who have moved up a step ahead to battle for the tablet market. This is surely the best time for Microsoft to bomb the OS world with its Mango Operating System (OS).
The Software Giant has passed on to the mobile operators and smartphone vendors this OS which would be power Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7. Tokyo saw these handsets launching a transparent attack on Google’s and Apple’s OS. Microsoft did unveil the future version of its mobile OS and it was announced that in the coming months Mango handsets would be out and it would be much better as it would have numerous new features.
The Blog of Windows Phone added that recently the development team of Windows Phone released Mango’s release to manufacturing (RTM)build officially. Now the ball is in the handset maker’s court to team up with Microsoft to install Mango OS in their devices. Terry Myerson, Chief of Microsoft’s Windows Phone even blogged that Mango OS for WP7 will be all set soon and undoubtedly it will be out with Mango OS preinstalled in each and every WP7.
Talking about the exciting features which come with this OS, there is one feature which is ‘conversation view’. This would be for e-mails wherein threads would be created to combine Facebook chats, instant messages and text messages, and would even be for multi-tasking of applications.
Mango has been the catch of manyeyeballs and Microsoft is working hard to get this OS in many other handsets. This however should not shift Microsoft’s focus from its own Windows Phone which is yet to see success on a bigger platform.
Just a few weeks back Microsoft had unveiled a Mango powered Samsung mobile which shared the limelight with ZTE, Acer and Fujitsu. There were a detailing of the Mango powered Fujitsu phone. This phone has a screen size of 3.7 inches, is water proof apparently and has a whooping camera of 13.2 MP. It is named IS12T. Japan users would see it come in the market in September.
However there is an unconfirmed news which stated that Nokia might even attempt to get hold of this OS. Recently there was a leak of a handset named ‘Sea Ray’, which was out of the warehouse of Nokia and was powered with Mango OS.
Microsoft didn’t have a good outing with their Windows phone which had no real impact on potential buyers. But IDC has forcasted some good news for WP7. It forcasted that there would be significant growth in its market share which would be during the period of 2011 to 2015 and would be good enough to get them the second spot only behind Android. If this forecast has a Midas feel, then there is good news for Microsoft as it’s Windows Phone 7 would see great success in the future to come.
