San Francisco – If you no longer enjoy watching your favorite program on regular television, then perhaps you might be interested in switching it up with Google TV devices. LG Electronics is making a big bet on Google TV and plans to introduce an extended lineup at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where the South Korean company will be taking the wraps of two brand new Google TV devices, as well offer seven models and five different screen sizes of HDTVs featuring the search giant’s Web-meets-living-room platform.

Consumer electronics manufacturer LG says its new Google TV sets will be part of the new GA6400 and GA7900 series of televisions, that delivers an intuitive user experience at various sizes that meet changing consumer demands. For instance, Google’s latest platform and LG’s redesigned Magic Remote with QWERTY keyboard work together to offer more-effective voice search and a PrimeTime quick guide.

As it is clearly evident in the image above, these new Google TVs by LG appear to be pretty darn slim, and thanks to the fact that the premium models featuring LG’s Cinema Screen design that sports an ultra-thin bezel for a more immersive viewing experience, it certainly makes the device larger than it really is.

In addition to elegant design, the GA6400 series will be available in 42-, 47-, 50-, 55- and a whopping 60-inch screen sizes, and the premium LG Google TV models will even offer a Cinema Screen design for a more modern look and feel. The GA7900 series will be available in (47- and 55-inch screen sizes).

The Korea-based electronics maker did not disclose pricing or availability, but these latest sets offer wireless connectivity options to a variety of devices and will be officially introduced at next month’s 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which runs from January 8 through January 11 in Las Vegas.

Gearing up for the big event, LG has yet to announce the specs for specific models, but the company says each television will come with the company’s newly redesigned Magic Remote. They will be running on Google TV 3.0 with the software integrated into the panel itself, and will come with several new attributes such as more advanced voice recognition, courtesy of the redesigned Magic Remote we reported on last week.

Meanwhile, an updated Smart Home interface now offers what LG calls streamlined access to video on demand, YouTube and more apps. The concept is to make it easier for consumers to access more content Relevant Products/Services. Other engaging features for upcoming sets includes 3D, built-in OnLive Gaming that lets gamers have access to games in the cloud.

“LG is committed to providing diverse home entertainment options that delivers the most satisfying user experience and the latest LG Smart TVs with Google TV do just that,” LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company president and CEO Havis Kwon said in a statement. “They deliver a stellar user experience by consolidating the latest Google TV platform with LG’s proven Smart TV technology. The result is a comprehensive system that is groundbreaking in its simplicity.”

Nevertheless, the LG Google TV combination are another development in a growing relationship between the two companies. Google in November rolled out a revamp of Google TV featuring more Google Play services plus intelligent voice search. The search giant said at the time that LG will be the first company to introduce the next version of Google TV.
