Google’s Search app for the iPad now enriches a better experience with the usual performance and speed enhancements, but along with it the extras do the trick this time. Google has heavily integrated its products to the app, which includes Instant and Instant Previews and at the same time the +1 button for Google Plus is even included. Talking about the image results, they are now much more than vivid because of a new image carousel that lets users swipe through results.
Google, with the changes, has even promised that their services such as Google News and Calendar would be easier to find and operate, as a direct connection for the same can be found within the new Apps menu.
One can find an update of the app can be downloaded for free from iTunes as of now. One can expect it to go much more smoothly as compared to the initial release of the Gmail app for the iPad and iPhone, which was launched earlier this month. The Gmail iOS app has been no good for the reputation Google carries on its shoulders. It has embarrassed Google a number of times and the last offering from Google has not seen response yet. The replies might flow in soon, letting the tech world know, whether the app is a success of still a failure.
This pops in a similarity between the two discussed apps of Google. These two apps still give one a feeling that they are using a browser, along with some minor visual enhancements. That is quite common for an iPad app. They bring in the browser feel with a few basic extras. So, where is Google different?
Comparing Google’s app with that of Bing, Bing’s app for the iPad offers bounty of features and attractive graphics, which gives Bing an upper hand on the iPad.
But Google is on the right track as one can see its efforts to come up with the best, or at least to give its best for an iPad app.

A few experts views on Google can be noted, which give mixed reactions to the app. On one hand, ZDNet was disappointed as it said that the app was “a glorified version” of Google Search for desktop browsers. On the other hand, All Things D liked the app and ranked it better than the Google Search app for Android. It wrote, “And while Google clearly would like its tablets to take off, it can’t afford to lose ground in its core search business while Apple runs away with the market.”
