GOOGLE GOES INDOOR AT CES WITH ITS MAPS

Late last year, Google had announced that they are coming up with a new feature for Google Maps, which would be Indoor maps. Recently, at the Consumer Electronic Show, Indoor map facility was showcasted. Happily for Google, the facility was good enough to keep the visitors interested in knowing more about it.

For the start, mapping indoors would aim bettering the service for big city shops and mainly malls, Home Depot, and other large traffic areas.

Strangely, the service recently added is quite impressive. It labels almost each and every individual booth, while the users still reap the availability of Google Maps, as one can even give turn-by-turn directions for themselves to Samsung, NOKIA, and all the other booths, which as noted should be warranted.

The users will not have to take the trouble of updating the application from time to time, as it is an all online service, which makes updates automatically. For example, if a user searches for the ‘Las Vegas Convention Center’, they will discover the order in the chaos!

For those, at the CES, may it be a developer, a journalist, or a consumer, everyone considered it as a ‘wow’ factor from the Google section. Again, it is a useful feature too, which will help users save time.

Moreover, the users will even have the option to find someone if they are lost in the big malls or in busy traffic areas. Everything is just a few taps away, if they have Google Maps installed in their smartphones and are looking out for this feature in the areas of America.

Google Maps representatives noted that it has been indexed by Google Maps and can easily be pulled up and even saved to cache.

Surprisingly, they are all nicely mapped out thanks to Google Maps.

The same, however might take time to reach the Android Market, but one can keep themselves updated with the updates of the same, to be able to make use of the said feature of Google Maps.

Google might face a few privacy issues noting the same, if an unwanted mishap takes place because of this service.

However, talking about the effort, having such a deep integration would have definitely taken a lot of time, as the Google team has been working on this feature for quite some time now.
