September 25, 2012 0

Mountain View, California – Entrepreneurship has long prospered enormously in recent years, thanks to a whole host of tools and technologies that can help launch ideas into stardom. Now, in an effort to kindle female entrepreneurship on a global level, Google has announced a new initiative dubbed as Google For Entrepreneurs, a novel concept designed to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship worldwide by supporting startups and entrepreneurs globally.

With websites such as Kickstarter actively imparting extra-ordinary ideas in crowdsourcing funds, all you need is a really good concept and the ability to materialize it, in order to be a successful entrepreneur.

Enjoying its 14th birthday, Google has unfurled a new venture called ‘Google for Entrepreneurs.’ In the post announcing this, Google mentions that there are about 40 million entrepreneurs across 54 countries right now. The new venture has been launched to celebrate the creative spirit that goes into their efforts.

As a matter of fact, Google has already been collaborating with entrepreneurs in a number of countries and has assisted a number of regional organizations to support budding startups. So essentially, ‘Google for Entrepreneurs’ is simply an umbrella that will be used by the company to organize all its relevant activities and projects.

But more importantly, the organization’s first combined initiative will be to bring Women 2.0’s distinctive networking event to cities around the world. ‘Founder Friday,’ a meetup for female entrepreneurs that involves a keynote address, will begin in Detroit, Michigan, and Mexico City, followed by Sao Paulo, Brazil, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Moscow, Russia.

In fact, according to Mary Grove, head of Global Entrepreneurship Outreach at Google, explained on the official Google blog on Monday that Google for Entrepreneurs will serve as “the umbrella” for several dozen programs and partnerships involving Google that support startups and entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, Grove mentioned that Google has several goals with this project, and at least two out of the three main objectives involve getting Google tools and products into the hands of the entrepreneurs worldwide.

More so, the company also has plans to utilize the platform to bring relevant tools directly to the entrepreneurs. The launch of this platform coincides with ‘Google for Entrepreneurs Week’ which is being hosted by Google and comprises of 3,000 entrepreneurs and Google employees from around the globe.

Some of those program includes: Campus London, Google for Entrepreneurs Week, Women 2.0, Startup Weekend, Women Entrepreneurs on the Web, Google Sudo, 1871, Start with Google, NewME Accelerator, Global K-Startup, Google for Entrepreneurs in Israel, Eleven, Jagriti Yatra, Umbono, Le Camping, City of Minneapolis STEP-UP Summer Jobs Program, Startup America Partnership, Portland Incubator Experiment, P@SHA Fund for Social Innovation, AFCECO, Google For Entrepreneurs Day San Diego, Google For Entrepreneurs Day Nashville, Grunder-Garage, Women’s Initiative Fellowship Program, Google For Entrepreneurs @ Google I/O, Arab Developer Network Initiative, Idea Village, iHub and Accelerate Your business.
