Los Angeles — Popular designing software maker Adobe Systems, is now whole heartedly looking to the Apple iPad, is going to launch a new version of its digital publishing suite for individuals, namely the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Single Edition for iPad this November.

Adobe has dubbed this suite as Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Single Edition, which was unveiled at its MAX 2011 developer conference. Basically, it would empower freelance designers and small design firms to publish interactive content created with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 application on Apple iPad.

Moving forward, for $395 per application, Adobe’s Single Edition suite delivers an affordable and flexible end-to-end workflow for designers to publish and design a single issue application for distribution or sale via Apple App Store, said an Adobe official. With this suite Adobe is planning to influence the economics of publishing on iPad.

Designers need not write a single line of code, instead they can use their existing expertise and workflows to build an application for the iPad, saving on development costs while allowing them to maintain complete creative control and through this suite they can maintain their creativity also.

Moreover, with the aid of this digital publishing suite single edition, which empowers users to publish single-issue content such as brochures, annual reports, highly-visual books and personal design portfolio as an application for the iPad. As an extension of the Digital Publishing Suite line, Single Edition enables users to utilize Creative Suite 5.5 workflows to create an application for the iPad. This gives freelance designers access to many of the same creative and publishing technologies that leading publishers, such as Condé Nast, have used to reinvent their publications for delivery on tablet devices.

“Adobe is dramatically influencing the economics of publishing on iPad,” said Todd Teresi, vice president and general manager of Media Solutions at Adobe, in a statement. “Adding Single Edition to the Digital Publishing Suite family shows Adobe’s commitment to making digital publishing available to businesses of all sizes–from freelance designers to small design firms to large global publishers.”

In addition, with the help of this upcoming suite, freelance designers could access several creative and publishing concepts that leading publishers use to reproduce their publications for delivery on devices like tablet. Besides, the Digital Publishing Suite family which now comprises Single Edition is used to publish content beyond traditional magazines and newspapers. With more than 700 titles published with the Enterprise and Professional Editions of Digital Publishing Suite currently in market, organizations are quickly seeing the value of content on tablet devices and are expanding the range of published materials, Adobe said.
