ADOBE PUSHES A FREE APP OF ECHOSIGN FOR THE IOS DEVICES

December 22, 2011 0

Adobe extends a hand of friendship towards the iOS, by coming up with an e-signature service used by over four millions users- for both iPhone and iPad. Add to it, it is now a free universal iOS application. This newly revised app is available now, allowing users to send documents and have them signed with a legally binding e-signature on the iPad or iPhone.

The same would require users to access their EchoSign account, search and send from the EchoSign library, or send documents from their photo album, an email attachment, or apps like Box.net and Dropbox.

That is definitely not all. The new app also comes in with a built-in, real-time status tracking, and the ability to quickly view signed agreements in an EchoSign account. Adobe, as promised has the signing process within the app of EchoSign’s “key authentication and privacy, fraud protection, and consumer disclosure”.

EchoSign already has earned a reputation and expectedly, Adobe has been opting for every option, with which it can earn Apple support points. These are no ordinary points. Well its just that Adobe has never shared a good report with Apple and with every such effort, it will inch closer to improve its relations with Apple.

Talking about the app, there have been four million users already in for the app, reaping the benefits of its features. However, out of this count, approximately 50,000 paid subscribers, which includes Twitter, Google, Facebook, VMware, Dell, and Groupon.

Briefing about the app developer, Jason Lemkin started the company in 2006, and it was eventually acquired by Adobe in July of 2011 when the company had around 35,000 paid subscribers. Adobe took half a year to turn the paid app, go free.

Lemkin is currently positioned as the vice president of Web business services. He noted, “The enterprise is experiencing unprecedented adoption of tablets and mobile devices, presenting new opportunities to leverage cloud applications to streamline business processes and greater efficiency. With the Adobe EchoSign app, we’re making it that much easier for organizations to incorporate Web contracting into their business models, allowing users to sign documents and send documents for signing right from their iOS device. The end result is a higher rate of contract completion in less time, leading to increased productivity.”

Interested users can grab the app for free from the App Store now (iTunes link).

If one is ignorant of this unique app, then the screenshots provided below give a bird eye’s view to know what the app looks like.
