Mitic would be carrying her years of experience along with her to the eBay board as before joining Facebook, she was serving as Senior Vice President of Global Product Marketing at Palm, where she had multi-tasked a lot. She looked after the hardware and software product management and marketing and at the same time even looked at business and corporate development. Moreover, she has even been responsible for improving Palm’s product line and global footprint with the launch of new mobile devices, one of the industry’s earliest mobile app stores and developer programs, and global distribution channels and partnerships.

eBay, with this expansion to their board, now has 12 directors, but notably, 10 of them are independent. eBay may be happy to add a Facebook executive to their board to enhance experience and use her skills to better their position. But this is not the lone step taken up by the auction company to improve its market position. eBay announced earlier this moth that they have even hired Devin Wenig, who even could help the company grow as he has formerly been the CEO of Thomson Reuters Markets. He would be presiding over the company’s global eBay Marketplaces business unit.

Based in San Jose, California, with its latest update, fell 69 cents, or 2.2 percent, to $30.94. in a 52-week range, the stock has been traded of $23.93 to $35.35. however, with the inclusion of Matic, the figures might start swirling upwards.
