AMAZON FIRES TABLET WARS; MAKES OTHER TABLETS LOOK PALE

September 29, 2011 0

Amazon has got many reviews for its newly launched Kindle Fire Tablet, but none or rare ones of them are negative. It seems to have almost everything to compete with the iPads and Galaxy tablets. Many consider this tablet from Amazon’s warehouse to be an iPad-slayer. For the specifications, the detailing is not yet complete, but still from the sources, it can be said that it has more pros than cons.

Amazon has launched its much awaited tablet at a time when iPad has been fighting with other Android tablets to keep its dominance in the tablet world. Apple has even attacked Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, cutting down its major sales in Europe and Australia. Amazon’s tablet seems to enter the competition as a heavyweight to punch out iPad with great force. The flashy iPad looks a bit pale when compared to Kindle Fire. One can look out for the comparison here.

Kindle Fire is a slick 7-inch tablet, which runs Google’s Android operating system 2.3 . Amazon has its tablet all over its site, but looking at the Fire’s home page, it seems that other Android-powered tablets need to look out for a few changes. Amazon has followed Apple’s path to succeed, as it has kept the important specifications for its tablet and have parted ways with the not-so-important ones.

Its abilities and ecosystem prove worthy, even though its spec sheet might not be that effective. For the cons, it lacks a camera, 3G connectivity, Amazon-focused content and the biggest problem here is that it does not have a normal Android market.

Talking about its main pros, Amazon has set a price which is way too cheap as compared to any other well-known Tablet manufacturer. It eases one’s way to multi-task as its comparatively faster than other Android tablets. Its Amazon-rich content like e-books, movies, TV shows, etc make it standout against others. Not to miss out on the Amazon cloud service, which is again a highlighting option of this tablet. It is even offering its Amazon Prime service for a month.

This tablet from Amazon might not kill iPad (to note in real terms), but it could give a tough fight to the iPad and can even steal the show, off Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is currently the best Android-powered tablet.

Amazon has worked really hard on its tablet, not making any mistake which was committed by HP or RIM. Along with it, it has a huge fan following, who have been waiting for this tablet. Moreover, many Tech Gurus have appreciated it and have said that Amazon has nailed it.

Some still consider that Amazon’s tablet is a strategical move to sell more Amazon stuff and to get users hooked to its cloud service. This may be a thought behind it, but in any case, it has sparked the Tablet wars and as notified earlier, in the tablet world, its a strong competitor.

One can watch the first impression on this tablet below:
