BUILT-IN VIDEO EDITOR FOR YOUTUBE

September 16, 2011 0

YouTube has a number of publishers who upload videos on YouTube. Video demand here is on the rise and as many people upload videos, there is a possibility that a viewer may have suggestions to improve a video or the video publisher would like to incorporate a few changes in their added video. This had always been a hassle as the new video uploaded might have just minor changes, but the publisher misses out on all the comments, likes, URL and place. That can be quite frustrating at times for the publisher.

To cut down the hassle, YouTube is out with an editing suite, which has been rolled out this week to let publishers make changes to their videos on the fly. With this in for the publishers, they can now save changes to the same ID number, which keeps their comments, likes, URL and place intact.

There are two levels of options which come in for the edit suite. One can stabilize hand-held footage on the lower end along with rotating a video and boosting the contrast and colors. There is a button placed even which would correct colors with a single click. This button is the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button. If one looks in for a further more drastic change for the video, they can note that YouTube has even teamed up with Picnik for the creation of visual effect overlays, may it be the go black & white, thermal, or turning one’s video into a cartoon.

However, one should not confuse this editing suite with a full-scale video editor, as it can only make one’s homemade efforts look more professional and fun. Again the reason here is that a creative or any interesting video cannot be compared to any common video which has just been polished. For instance, we see that the simple, silly or heart-felt videos are the ones which get real reps mostly which are viral, shaky hand-held footage and all.

This YouTube edit button should be looked upon as a freedom to make minor mistakes and not to make a video on the whole. The best use of this button can be like when a publisher makes a short video related to his product or service and without wasting even a single minute, uploads it on YouTube. Then they have the liberty to spend quality time on trying out new options and filters. The cartoon effect can even help in bringing your dead videos to life as it would be entertaining for the person viewing the video to enjoy it in a new way. Again it would even help those publishers who prefer being the first to upload a video. Then can now just make a video and get it down on YouTube.

One can even view a video of the editing suite of YouTube here:

YouTube has been at the supremo position for quite some time now, but it seems long when one had actually seen a YouTube update. However, for the quick fixers, this would be an opportunity to rejoice as they would not have to re-upload their videos for every small error they notice after a video has been uploaded.
