Google Rolls Out New AdSense Mobile Interface

March 8, 2011 0

Mountain View, California — People who make a serious amount of money using AdSense will now better be able to keep track of their earnings while on the go. In a nod to the myriad of smartphone users running AdSense on their sites or apps, Google just announced a new mobile-friendly interface for AdSense accounts.

Starting today, mobile user can view an entirely different version of AdSense, instead of the standard “desktop”, the newly released interface is designed specifically to complement mobile devices.

Yes, you can finally login in to Google AdSense through your smartphone and view earnings and reports. Google said you can view “your earnings, get important alerts, and view reports, all without the need for Flash on your phone.”

This freshly released version contains basic information such as earnings for today, yesterday and current month. There are also quick navigation features for accessing common and previously saved custom reports.

Anyhow, a post on the Inside AdSense Blog explained, “Now, when you visit www.google.com/adsense on your mobile browser, instead of the usual “desktop” AdSense, you will be greeted by a simpler and faster version of AdSense.”

Nevertheless, the new design allows more accessibility for mobile users who do not have Flash capabilities on their devices. While this might seem like a nod to non-Android users, remember that the new Motorola Xoom, which has Android 3.0 installed, is also without Flash.

To reap the benefits of the new mobile interface, you need to be opted into the new AdSense interface announced last November. The AdSense team is quick to point out the new interface is only in beta, so use at your own discretion. If you use the new mobile interface and want to go back to the previous version, simply use the links provided at the bottom of the page.

If you do not see it, then it might be because you are not on the new interface and still using the old one. You would need to switch to the new interface. Moreover, it is a limited release and more features are coming. Like, you cannot create new ads, block sites, and so on.
