A Nintendo spokesman said in a statement that the company exclusively plans to release “Ando Kensaku” in Japan on April 29 as the first combined project between the two companies. However, there is no detail on whether or not it will make its way to the United States or Europe.
According to the spokesman, the game will be shipped with more than a dozen different modes and supports up to four player simultaneous play. The spokesman added that the game, which is to be offered a Japan-only release for Nintendo’s Wii console, in one version of the game, which evidently involves predicting which combinations of words will ratchet up your hit count, while another involves fiddling special items and stats. A few others incorporate mechanisms like collapsing stairs and fizzing bombs.
Another edition of the game involves players using special items and stats. The other two versions of the game incorporate mechanisms like collapsing stairs and fizzing booms.
How it works: Players compete by attempting to guess the popular web search terms. The player who predicts the most popular search term is the winner. As you can see in the screenshot above, the game utilizes the popular Mii digital avatars.
Up to four players compete to predict the search term with most results in 14 different mini games. The game also has the capability to play offline with about 10,000 pre-stored words and phrases. If a user goes online then they will be able to download additional challenges based off current Google search trends.
The companies have said they have no immediate plan to launch more joint projects. The game will sell for about $52.
