London — Microsoft’s MSN Video service has finally gone live in the UK after weeks of gossips with hundreds of hours of programs available to watch for free. Few of the shows included in MSN Video are Peep Show, Shameless, Hustle and The League of Gentlemen.
Microsoft has said that the free video-streaming service is still under experimental phase to test if such a thing will fly in the UK, and offers around 300 hours of television programs at launch, but anything that offers free video and is the visual equivalent of Spotify is always going to fare well.
The service will initially deliver over 300 hours of free UK shows that include: Fameless, Ultimate Fork, Plague of Gentleman, How To Look Only Moderately Good Naked And Be Exploited By A Douchebag, and a bunch of other shows spanning comedy, documentary, drama and more. Shows are ad-sponsored.
Microsoft’s video-streaming service, MSN Video, has launched online with more than 300 hours of free content.

Microsoft has signed content partnership deals with BBC Worldwide, the BBC’s commercial arm, and All3Media, an independent production company responsible for shows such as Shameless and How to Look Good Naked.
Microsoft said it was “looking forward to developing the service” in the coming months. MSN Video is overseen by Ashley Highfield, vice president of consumer and online services at Microsoft, the former BBC executive who helped to launch the iPlayer catch-up TV service.
