Google Unveiled Image-Based Online Display Ads For Google Finance

April 17, 2009 0

Mountain View, California — Search engine giant Google made an interesting announcement late last year that it would expand running of its AdSense style display ads across its own network. Since then, it has appeared in Google New, Google Image Search, and other Google properties. Now Google has launched a number of financial display ad templates that companies can utilize on Google Finance to the mix, serving up display ads powered by Google Display Ad Builder.

At the Inside AdWords blog, crew member Austin Rachlin of Google Adwords noted that the new Google Finance now caters to display advertising via the Google Display Ad Builder feature.

Google has also pre-designed a few financial templates complete with charts and “Invest Now” calls to action for this, that can be used specifically for Google Finance, allowing companies to reach a more relative audience with finance-related campaigns.

These templates can be used anywhere across the Google Content Network, and are not limited to only use on Google Finance. And similarly, advertisers can use any other display ads on Google Finance.

Here are couple sample templates Google provides:

Marketers can tailor these templates according to their own requirements, adding their own images, text and colors to create their own unique ads.

“Google Finance is a great opportunity to reach a relevant audience while they engage with financial content. You can use the AdWords placement targeting tool to target Google Finance like any other site on the content network, with the exception of third party ads,” the post states.

To use Display Ad Builder, just go to the “Display Ad Builder” format option from any group, and the new templates will be available in the section labeled “Financial Services.”
