Los Angeles — In an drastic move to keep its massive audience engage, social networking outfit Facebook on Wednesday rolled out its App Center to all of its 955 million monthly active users around the globe, nearly a month after it first went live in eight countries.
Surprisingly, the news did not come directly from the usual Facebook press release or blog post, but ironically via a Facebook PR representative sending out a message on Twitter:
The Facebook App Center is now available to 100% of users worldwide. You can access your own personalized and localized App Center from the same address no matter where you are across this Earth of ours, right over at http://www.facebook.com/appcenter. From there you will be treated to a collection of forward-thinking social network-based apps for all manner of functions and fun-loving activities.

With a concealed announcement, Facebook Public Relations superstar Malorie Gator will tell you, it is high time to get started if you have not already jumped in on Facebook’s App Center. You can also see on Facebook App Center’s timeline that today is essentially their birthday as never before has the App Center been available the whole world over.
The social media humongous first made the online app store available in the U.S., Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K.
This initiative is in response to online app outlets operated by Apple, Google, and others features third-party social apps that work with Facebook. Users can browse apps that friends have recently used, or find new forms of entertainment via Facebook’s own suggestions and lists ranking the most-used, fastest-growing, and in-app purchase leading apps in the App Center.

Besides, this app center boasts both a mobile and a web version with classic Facebook apps like Farmville running hard right next to new apps like Bubble Witch and Sim City Social. And it is not just all about games — Facebook App Center also has official Olympics apps and news apps as well. Timeline apps also sit pretty up in the main section of the portal with Mobile Apps just making their first big break-out here so that Facebook can push on in to the future in mobile style!
The company suggests that you sift through a collection of apps from many different categories so that you get a healthy dose of what is possible in the social network overall. You can grab Travel and Local apps, Sports apps, Utilities, Music, and Lifestyle apps as well. As one can expect, the Facebook App Center is social. It lets you check out what apps your Facebook friends have installed and rated as well.
Apart from any new Facebook feature, the App Center was being rolling out incrementally. But now, everyone across the globe has access to it via the App Center bookmark on the left side of their Facebook.com home page and in the Facebook apps for Android and iOS.
