Google’s +1 Button Now Appears On Android, iOS Mobile Devices

Mountain View, California — Google’s +1 button, which allows users to fetch recommendations and share information with their friends on the web, is now becoming more universal thanks to an update that carries them over to the Android and iOS-based mobile device.

With +1 button now landed on mobile devices as well, Google has now empowered the users to get attached to the outside world within fraction of a second. This was what users had been longing for from so many days and eventually is now made true.

“The availability of the +1 button on Android 2.1+ and iOS 4.0+ browsers should help users make recommendations on the web even while on the go,”Google+ Games and Mobile’s lead product manager Punit Soni, wrote in a post on Google+.

“The button will automatically become visible to anyone on Android 2.1+ and iOS 4.0+ browsers. When you +1 something, it will be shown publicly across the Web as a comment on the content you +1’d,” Soni said in a Google+ post.

 

The search giant’s +1 button enables a user to send and share recommendations or online information to friends and vice versa. Soni added that with the +1 button available on the mobile web, a user with an Android or iOS device can tap to +1 directly from his or her mobile phone or tablet. Explaining briefly about the technology part, Android is an operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. It is formulated by the Open Handset Alliance led by Google.

Taking into account the rapidly escalating number of surfers through daily use devices like the smartphones and other mobile units, Google has decided to harness this potential to the fullest and provide its complete benefit to the users.

Google said the +1’s can help improve its search too, “since you can see which pages your social connections have +1’d right beneath search results and ads.”

Just last month, the +1 button has made its arrival on more than a million websites. The +1 button is directly integrated with Google’s social network, Google+.
