LG Offers Sneak Peek At New Google TV Models For Debut At CES 2013

Google Extends Free Calling In Gmail Within US And Canada Through 2013

Google Tests Integrating Gmail Capabilities Into Search Results, Adds Purchases, Reservations And Events

San Francisco -- In a surprising turn of events, Google has updated its field trial of new search features with further Gmail integration: Those who have signed up for the experimental features can now unearth relevant information from their inbox on flights, restaurant bookings, or purchases directly into search results, as long as you are logged in.

The new capabilities are now an indispensable part of Google's search “field trials” that began earlier this year, and are limited to @gmail.com users in the U.S. You can sign up for it here, and you should be able to use the new features after you receive a confirmation email.

Facebook Rolls Out Poke App For iPhone, Its Snapchat Clone

Los Angeles -- Barely a week after rumors cropped up about a Facebook product that mimics the hot new app Snapchat, the social network giant over the weekend announced the launch of the Poke app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that lets you send messages, photos and videos to your friends on the social networking service that disappear within 10 seconds of someone opening them.

Last week, news was ripe that Facebook has reinvented its Poke feature with a new standalone clone of the controversial feature with a new product called Poke for iOS.

Google Embeds Store Interiors Inside Local Search Results

Mountain View, California -- Attempting to help users find businesses tied to its popular products, thus, in an interesting update last week, search engine Google has embedded indoor photography for businesses from search results pages, allowing users to see if the ambiance of that downtown restaurant matches the online review. This way, users have a way of seeing what the inside of a business looks like.

As the service is growing rapidly, Google is making it even easier to take a virtual tour of business interiors without leaving home. Google Business Photos present 360-degree panoramas, allowing businesses who have been able to participate in this get the added bonus of letting users to scope out businesses without actually visiting.
